Grand Rounds™ Software, LLC

Grand RoundsTM Software, LLC (GRS) was founded by Robert Stavis, Ph.D., M.D. in 2004 for the purpose of commercializing the Crib Notes NICU clinical documentation and database system. The Crib Notes™ software was developed and enhanced over the course of 20 years so that it now met the needs of all caregivers working in the NICU. Dr. Stavis foresaw that enterprise-wide EMR vendors would have little interest in developing a niche software product specifically for the NICU in spite of a profound clinical need. Crib Notes was launched to fill that gap. Moving forward GRS will continue to provide innovative solutions for the NICU,with support of the Well Baby Nursery and the PICU units as well.

Crib Notes™ Software is a next generation EMR that supports physician admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, and structured data collection. Crib Notes™ incorporates bedside data collection by nurses, respiratory therapists and ancillary personnel and includes a system for parent communication. Crib Notes™ also provides tracking and reporting of home cardiorespiratory monitors, out-patient follow-up, quality assurance, patient-centered research, and NICU administration. The program has been fine-tuned over a decade to provide an easy-to-use graphical interface and meaningful data and reports that are very helpful in the day-to-day activities of a busy NICU. Minimal training is necessary for doctors, nurses and other users to take advantage of this powerful neonatology program.
