Grand Rounds Software, LLC (GRS) was founded by Robert Stavis, Ph.D., M.D. in 2004 for the purpose of commercializing the Crib Notes NICU clinical documentation and database system. The Crib Notes software was developed over 20 years and was enhanced so that it evenutally met the needs of all caregivers working in the NICU. Dr. Stavis foresaw that enterprise-wide EMR vendors would have little interest in developing a niche software product specifically for the NICU in spite of a profound clinical need. Crib Notes was launched to fill that gap. Moving forward GRS will continue to provide innovative solutions for the NICU,with support of the Well Baby Nursery and the PICU units as well.
